Today 9 Adar, Marks 75 years since Rabbi Joseph I. Schneersohn, sixth in the dynasty of Chabad leaders, arrived in New York, following his miraculous rescue from Nazi-occupied Warsaw.

The sixth Rebbe paved the way for a small community of Chabad survivors to grow into an international phenomenon. He did it without the support that we take for granted today. He did it when Jewish life was smoldering, physically in Europe, spiritually in America. He did it when few had the confidence or the courage to take up a cause that seemed all but lost.
