The first Chabad center in the State of California opened in 1964. Today, there are 220 centers in the state, something worth whistling about. At the 34th Chabad To Life! Telethon, actors got on their feet and did a Chasidic jig with the rabbis, generating three million dollars in support of Chabad’s educational and humanitarian activities on the West Coast.
