British Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathon Sacks will be the guest of honor at the opening of Chabad’s Gaon Club in London on Wednesday. Located in the prestigious Bond Street district of one of the financial capitols of the world, the Gaon Club will be a place where Jewish young professionals and business people can meet in a relaxed atmosphere and conduct business or social meetings. Rabbi Yosef Vogel, director of the Gaon Club says that “Because of the Chabad worldwide name recognition, we are the initial port of call for business people world wide and we have become a loose community for them.”
The Gaon club is equipped with a comfortable lounge, a library, internet access, a Bloomberg terminal and a meeting room. “The response to the concept of the Gaon Club alone has been phenomenal," said Rabbi Mendy Vogel, program director of the Gaon Club. "People have been phoning daily to find out when they can come and see the new center and we're delighted to tell that our doors are now open."
