It was a confining season for Israelis who stayed close to bomb shelters all summer long while missiles rained on Israel. Chabad’s paraglider, a summer icon announcing Shabbat candle lighting time over the Tel Aviv skyline, was grounded as well.
With the cease fire, the city burst into activity and Tel Avivians were delighted to see the glider return to announce Shabbat candle lighting over Tel Aviv’s now calm skies.
