See those Chanukah commercials? The Eight Faces of Chanukah, a series of eight, thirty second commercials will be aired throughout the eight nights of Chanukah on local UPN and CBS stations.
A project of The Shul, as Chabad-Lubavitch of West Bloomfield is known, the commercials will show eight unique settings and individuals lighting the Menorah. The commercial will also serve to inform viewers of how to obtain their own free Menorah from The Shul. Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov Director of The Shul, says, “This is a moment for the entire community to unite and celebrate together. It is our chance to offer them the opportunity to celebrate Chanukah the proper way.”
Sponsored by DSW Shoe Warehouse, the commercials were developed with the creative talent of Jewish Educational Media, or JEM, producers of Chabad-Lubavitch videos. On the last night of Chanukah—when all eight candles are lit—the commercial will show a human menorah, formed of individuals, with the message for each one to illuminate the world with the human spirit.
