In Episode 25 of Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier, reporter/producer Gary Waleik presents the story of Rabbi Yisrael and Rebbetzin Vivi Deren, who’ve transformed unfathomable tragedy and personal loss into Jewish light and warmth over their long and distinguished careers as Chabad emissaries in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
