Ep. 36: The Radical Move from Pasadena to Rostov-on-don

In Episode 36 of Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier, reporter/producer Gary Waleik presents the first of two episodes on the story of Rabbi Chaim and Rebbetzin Kaila Danzinger, who had a tough choice to make in 2008; should they continue with their shlichus in comfortable, sunny California, or should they go to Russia, where life is harder, but also where thousands of Jews desperately need their help and support? Their answer beautifully exemplifies the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s vision of Jewish outreach across the globe.

Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier is producing a series of moving, beautifully produced, sound-rich and often surprising stories of Chabad shluchim and the people they inspire in every corner of the world.

This Lamplighters episode is dedicated in honor of Moshe Braun by the Braun children, who send their father all of their love and blessings on his birthday. We here at Lamplighters say “Amen” to that. Thank you very much to the Braun family for listening, and for supporting us in our mission to bring you inspiring stories of Chabad emissaries all over the world.
