Local students receive awards

With a crowd of both teens and their families in attendance, Chabad of Hunterdon County’s Teen Network (CTeen) held its annual end of year award ceremony to celebrate and recognize a year of dedicated community work.
The ceremony was addressed by the Mayor of Flemington, Phil Greiner, who shared his encouragement and recognition for the amazing work the teens do.

Orphans treated to bat mitzvah celebration in Jerusalem

n behalf of 36 orphan girls and their families, Colel Chabad hosted the seventh annual Bat Mitzvah celebration in Jerusalem this week.
Dressed in their finest and surrounded by family and close friends, the Bat Mitzvah girls were able to celebrate in style at the newly renovated Gutnik Hall in Jerusalem with all the arrangements and costs handled by Colel Chabad.

Students are recognized in the community

On May 14, Valley Chabad hosted its 2018 Teen Leadership Appreciation, honoring more than 160 teen volunteers from the Pascack and Saddle River Valley communities. Each of those teens participated in at least one of Valley Chabad’s four Teen Leadership Initiative programs.

Chabad of the Conejo will present its annual banquet gala and primary fundraising event at 5 p.m. Sun., June 10 at the Four Seasons Westlake Hotel, Two Dole Drive, Westlake Village.

Naomi Rosenfeld remembered

Naomi Rosenfeld threw herself into projects in a way that inspired others. “Naomi’s can-do spirit was infectious,” said Rivkah Slonim of Chabad of Binghamton, N.Y., with whom Rosenfeld forged a deep relationship while she was a student at Binghamton University; Rosenfeld graduated in 1997. She also had what Slonim called a “deep, real, and robust relationship” with God.

Chabad of Southampton Celebrates Third Sefer Torah Dedication to Village Community

Chabad of Southampton, under the direction of the Shluchim, Rabbi Rafe and Chany Konikov celebrated the beautiful milestone of the dedication of the Third Sefer Torah for the Southampton Village community.

Making the desert bloom

The Chabad emissary in Taiwan, Rabbi Shlomi Tabib, has lived with his wife Racheli and their five children for seven years in Taipei, Taiwan.
Tabib was previously Chabad emissary in Hong Kong and after a request from the Jewish community, the Chabad House in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan, opened for the first time in the summer of 2011.
