The Chabad House issued a message saying that “for the first time, the Chabad House will not open on Shabbat morning; the police do not have the situation under control and today is a very dangerous day.”

On Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, the Meyer family dedicated a Sefer Torah to the Chabad of Greater Hartford, parading along the sidewalk with the Torah from Iroquois Rd. to the synagogue on Albany Avenue, singing singing dancing along the way, celebrating this dedication to honor the memory of Sheldon Meyer, husband, father, and grandfather.
