On Sunday, April 26th, the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ welcomed Chaplains Jacob Goldstein and Sanford Dresin of the Aleph Institute. In the coming year, the yeshiva will be offering students enrolled in its four year program, Yeshiva Tiferes Bachurim, a program training them for a career in the field of Chaplaincy. Students completing the program will gain a Masters of Divinity course along with full Rabbinical ordination.
The first of its kind, the program is designed to give students from non-traditional homes a comprehensive Torah education. It will allow them to acquire all the skills and knowledge necessary to become Jewish leaders in their communities. The program will be open to transfer students who’ve begun their yeshiva training elsewhere.
Upon completion of the program, the school will work with hospitals, the military and business professionals, to help place graduates in chaplaincy positions.
