Jewish students on winter break took in some intensive exploration at Running Springs, California, during a Ski and Learn Retreat organized by the Chabad on Campus National Foundation. The two week long sessions were split by male and female students from all affiliations and various colleges.
“It was very empowering. We learned how we, as Jews, could make a positive impact on the world and how Jewish teachings fit into our daily college lives,” said Allison Singer, a 20 year old student at University of California at Santa Barbara. Identity issues such as Jewish family life and intermarriage were examined, giving students food for thought while skiing and snow-tubing during this two week retreat.
