History is Made: Welcoming Northern Cyprus’ First Torah Scroll
For the first time in history, a Torah scroll has dedicated in Kyrenia, North Cyprus, at the local Chabad House run by Rabbi Chaim Hillel and Devora Leah Azimov.
Hundreds of guests and friends of the Chabad House from all over the world attended the festive celebration, along with Chabad emissaries and family members.
Sofer Rabbi Betzalel Yakont of Kfar Chabad guided guests in inscribing the final letters of the Torah, which was completed in honor of donor Mr. Hillel Leonardo Farkas.
