(lubavitch.com) Some 20,000 Jews made the pilgrimage Thursday, to Jerusalem's Western Wall for the traditional Birkat Cohanim. In the Diaspora, the Priestly Blessing in which Cohanim bless the Jewish people, takes place only during the three major Jewish festivals. But it is a daily custom in the Holy Land, and draws an immense crowd on the intermediate days of Sukkot, when Jews travel from all parts of Israel to the site of the last remnant of the Holy Temple.
