Rome Officials Join Chabad Rep in City Sukkah

(lubavitch.com) On Monday, September 27th, dozens of dignitaries joined Rabbi Yitzhak Hazan, Chabad representative to Rome, Italy, for the “Sukkah of Peace” inauguration ceremony.

The public Sukkah was put up in the center of Rome, at the Piazza Farnese, under the patronage of the Prime Minister and the Municipality of Rome.

Some of the noted guests included, Gianni Letta, undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Gidon Meir, Israel’s ambassador to Italy, Renata Polverini, president of the Lazio Region,  Ferdinando Casini, chairman of the UDC, Moscherini John, Mayor of Civitavecchia , Federico Rocca, and Fred Guidi, chairman of the Budget Commission.
