Shake the Lulav, Save a Life

By , Chandler, AZ

Chabad of the East Valley, in Chandler, Arizona, is hosting a stem-cell and bone-marrow registry drive coupled with the shaking of the Lulov and Etrog during the holiday of Sukkot.

Calling it “Shake the Lulav, Save a Life,” participants will take a cheek swab to join The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation’s registry.

“During the holiday of Sukkot there is an emphasis on unity between many different kinds of people. There is nothing that unites more than saving another person’s life. We thought that this would be a great idea to combine both of these activities together,” says Rabbi Mendy Deitsch, Chabad representative to Chandler, Arizona.
