Tampa Bay Lightning to Host Jewish Heritage Night on Chanukah

The National Hockey Leagues Tampa Bay Lightning—the 2004 Stanley Cup Champions—will be hosting their first ever Jewish Heritage Night at the St Pete Times Forum in downtown Tampa on Thursday evening December 6th.

This is believed to be the first Jewish Heritage Night to be hosted by any NHL team.

Chabad Houses in Tampa, Pinellas, West Pasco, East Pasco & New Tampa, South Tampa, Brandon, Bradenton and St Petersburg in close cooperation and conjunction with Tampa Bay Lightning, organized the event planned to coincide with Chanukah.
Festivities will include a grand Menorah lighting ceremony on the plaza prior to the game; commemorative souvenir t-shirts ; Glatt Kosher hotdogs for sale inside the forum and more.

On the West Coast, Chabad of Oregon will bring the celebration of Chanukah to the  NBA Portland Trailblazers. (Shmais.com)
