Tefillin Bank Opens New Branch in Brazil

Morumbi, Brazil

A new branch of the Kushner International Tefillin Bank, which subsidizes the purchase of new tefillin for those who can’t afford it, has just opened in S. Paulo, Brazil, under the direction of Chabad representative to Morumbi, Rabbi Dovid Weitman.

"You use the Internet to Connect to the World – What about Connecting to Yourself?" is the tagline of a major advertising campaign launched by Chabad in Morumbi, to raise awareness of this project.

The Tefillin Bank is a project of The Shul of Bal Harbour, Florida, under the direction of Rabbi Sholom Dov Ber Lipskar of The Shul of Bal Harbor, Florida in conjunction with the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch Shluchim Office.
