Bringing the Joy of Purim to Lithuania

VILNIUS, LITHUANIA

It’s all part of a dramatic revival of Jewish life in this region, where Chabad’s religious, educational and social outreach programs are inspiring Jewish people to become involved and experience a Jewish triumph of their very own.

Five hundred people turned out to celebrate Purim at a Chabad-sponsored concert on Thursday night.

And for the children at Chabad’s Ohr Avner program, a Purim program made the holiday’s heros and villains come alive.

“The Jewish community is remarkably receptive and responsive to all our efforts toward greater Jewish awareness and Jewish educational programs,” says Rabbi Sholom Ber Krinsky, Chabad representative who has been serving Lithuania’s Jewish community’s religious needs since 1994.
