January 11, 2007

Rabbi Aryeh Sufrin of Chabad of Redbridge, UK is teaming up with Imam Haroon Rashid Patel of the Balfour Road Mosque Muslims to help provide an interfaith drug support line for the surrounding communities. The Redbridge Council has pledged $15,000 to help fund the newly expanded Drugsline and enable it to provide cultural and faith sensitive drug programs to both communities.

Drugsline has over 15 years experience of dealing with addiction issues and this proposed partnership will only add value to Drugsline’s existing work,” Said Rabbi Sufrin, the founder of Drugsline. The partnership was a brainchild of Rabbi Sufrin who recognized that different religious minorities share similar visions on dealing with drug addiction.
