New Jersey Chabad Rabbi Uses YouTube to Mark High Holy Days

Somerset County, NJ

Visitors to YouTube today will find images of Chabad of Somerset County Rabbi Mendy Herson among the video posters, reaching out to Central Jersey Jews in an unorthodox way.

Rabbi Herson has posted a short video titled "How Do the High Holiday Services Make You Feel?"

The community is invited to participate in the Yom Kippur services and Rabbi Herson promises a casual relaxed atmosphere with a bi-lingual prayer book to facilitate ease in following the prayers. The service is free and children and teens have their own service geared to their level.

Herson is banking on some success from the YouTube video, and hired police to deal with the heavy traffic he is expecting.
