Chabad Reaches Out to Israel's Terror Victims on Rosh Hashana

-- (September 28, 2008)
(lubavitch.com) Under the auspices of Chabad’s Terror Victims Program, Israeli volunteers are criss-crossing the country in an effort o visit everyone who has lost a loved one to war or terrorist attack since 2000. In honor of the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashanah, families are receiving jars of honey and holiday cards. Director, Rabbi Menachem Kutner, explains the import of these visits: “The people of Israel have not forgotten them at this time when the pain and loss are compounded.” The organization is also helping to cover surviving families’ hefty holiday bills.
