(lubavitch.com) Israel’s Consul General in New York, Assaf Shariv, was a guest at the sukkah of Rabbi Mendel Sharfstein, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Wednesday evening.

The diplomat, accompanied by a mutual friend, Mr. Steven Salsberg, joined the Sharfstein family and Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky for a private dinner where a wide range of topics were discussed.

Following the dinner, members from Chabad-Lubavitch Headquarters and the local community joined the others in the Sukkah for the opportunity to greet the Consul General and share a l’chaim in honor of the Sukkot festival.
