(lubavitch.com) In advance of the first anniversary of the Mumbai Terror Attacks, the Chairman of Chabad’s educational and social services divisions, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, visited Nariman House for the first time, Wednesday.

Krinsky and other rabbis and dignitaries are in India to commemorate the brutal attacks which left 173 dead throughout Mumbai, six of whom were killed in the Chabad House.

Two Chabad representatives, Rabbi Gavriel and Mrs. Rivkah Holtzberg, were murdered there with four guests.

Krinsky was accompanied on his first visit by Rabbi Avraham Berkowitz, director of the Chabad Mumbai Relief Fund. Their tour was trailed by reporters from various news outlets, including CNN. Following the visit, Rabbi Krinsky spoke with CNN for several minutes.

“The terrorists accomplished nothing,” he told the reporter. “If anything, they created more impetus, more emotional involvement, more young people who want to go out on a mission [to bring Judaism to communities around the world].”

Seeing the wreckage with his own eyes, Krinsky said, was even more painful than watching it with 60 million others for three days last November. “There is no explanation” for these atrocities, he said.

The interview and further news coverage will air throughout today and tomorrow as memorial services are held in Mumbai and in Nariman House.
