We at Lubavitch World Headquarters, mourn the untimely passing of our dear colleague, Rabbi Daniel Yitzchok Moscowitz, of blessed memory the head Shliach to the state of Illinois. We are deeply pained, and we grieve along with his immediate and extended family, and all those who knew Reb Daniel and his lifelong dedication to Jewish life in Chicago.

We recognize our responsibility to ensure that activities in the area move forward, in keeping with Rabbi Moscowitz’s lifetime commitment of leadership and outreach.

With concern for the urgency of the situation, we are committed to filling the huge void left by his passing.

The stability and well-being of the Jewish communities of Illinois affected by this unfortunate loss are our priority at this trying time. We will work diligently to ensure the continued growth and development of Lubavitch-Chabad of Illinois and all of the institutions and activities created and led by Rabbi Moscowitz of blessed memory.
