Half-Million Shekel to Bereaved Families of Jerusalem Terror

Chabad’s Terror Victims Project (CTVP) disbursed half-million NIS shekels ($127,000 US) when they visited the families of those who were murdered in last month’s terror attack in a Jerusalem synagogue.

Representatives of CTVP said that their visit to the home of Zidan Saif, the police officer who was gunned during the attack, was especially emotional. Rabbis Menachem Kutner and Aaron Prus presented the officer’s widow, Rinal Saif and their 5-month-old baby, with much needed financial assistance. The Muslim family lives in the village of Yanuach in the Galilee.

“The heroism of your husband is profoundly appreciated. Those who were saved all send their deep condolences,” Kutner told the bereaved woman as she struggled to maintain her composure.

“I am gratified that my husband’s heroism is being recognized and acknowledged not only in Israel but internationally as well,” she said. “Please send my deep gratitude to those who provided this financial assistance.”
