Grand Performances, an organization reflecting Los Angeles’s culture and community turned the light on the cultural diversity and history of LA's Boyle Heights neighborhood.

Earlier this week they had Chabad’s Rabbi Shmuel Marcus' Traveling Pickle Factory program on the Marina Pavilion stage with buckets of spices, baskets of garlic, and boxes of Kosher salt.
.
People swirled and scooped along with Rabbi Marcus as he told stories behind using salt for pickling and joked about parting our fountain waters.

Backstage, the crew got in on the fun. And later, staff members took their turns turning cucumbers into pickled snacks.

“The Traveling Pickle Factory was one of our more unique events this summer and will surely be one of the most memorable,” said the Grand Performances website.
