Kehot Publication Garners Benjamin Franklin Book Award

By , Austin, TX

Daily Wisdom, an anthology of 378 lessons from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, was the gold winner of the prestigious 2015 Benjamin Franklin Award. The Independent Book Publishers Association award is one of the highest awards in American independent publishing.

Announced last week, the award recognizes excellence in book editorial and design in 55 different categories.

Published by Kehot Publication Society, Daily Wisdom, adapted from the teachings of the Rebbe by Rabbi Moshe Wisnefsky, summarizes the weekly Torah reading with original insight culled from among 200 published volumes of the Rebbe’s scholarly works.

“The Rebbe saw the weekly Torah portion as an inexhaustible source of new ideas, insight into current issues, and profound relevance for daily life,” according to a press release from the Chabad-Lubavitch publishing house.

“He urged his followers, as well as everyone who came into contact with him, to seek daily inspiration from studying the Torah.”
