A New Chabad To Open In The Granite State

Rabbi Berel and Rochy Slavaticki Open Chabad at UNH

By , New Hampshire

A new Chabad will open in the Granite State.

Rabbi Berel and Rochy Slavaticki and their newborn son Mendel are moving to the town of Durham, home to the University of New Hampshire. UNH, a liberal arts college and public research university, hosts 15,000 students. 600 of them are Jewish.

The Slavatickis were appointed by head emissaries to the state of New Hampshire, Rabbi Levi and Shternie Krinsky, who have been based out of central Manchester since 1989. Until now, Rabbi Moshe Leib and Chani Gray at Chabad of Dartmouth in Hanover, were New Hampshire’s only other emissaries.

Rabbi Krinsky thanks Chabad on Campus International and the Rohr Family for their support in making this new position a reality.
